Lionel Messi & Sergio Agüero Become Co-Owners Of KRÜ Esports

Lionel Messi joins Sergio Aguero in becoming owners of Esports organisation KRU.

The official announcement came from the X account @KRUEsports.

South American Organisation KRU have had a range of success throughout the last year of competing, and with the current financial problems occurring across the Esports world this came at the most crucial time.

In the 2023 Valorant VCT season, KRU finished dead bottom of the Americas League with 0 wins out of 9 games across the season. However, they were invited to the Last Chance Qualifier for the Americas league with them going into it with little to no expectations.

Despite having no support from across America, they managed to win every game beating teams such as Leviatan and the heavy favourites Cloud9 to win themselves a place in Champions 2023 held in Los Angeles with what a lot of fans are calling a miracle run from the underdogs of the tournament.

They went into champs with their heads held high but unfortunately for them they got placed into group A alongside mega teams Paper Rex and Edward Gaming who both made it out of the group stage.

Despite going out so early in Champs with 0 map wins, they were showing signs of improvement and the introduction of Lionel Messi brings a lot of eyes to the org for next years VCT performance in the Americas League.
