Manchester City Cruise Past Sheffield United 2-0

Phil Foden with yet another great performance to win City the game against Sheffield United at the Etihad today.

The win sets them 2 points off of the top with a game in hand after Arsenal dropped points to West Ham United.

This is the first home game since they won the Club World Cup against Fluminense which allowed them to present the travelling team with a daunting image.

The game was controlled completely by City with dominant possession despite having injury worries.

They were without Haaland, Doku and John Stones who are all out due to injuries however, one surprise for City fans was the return of Kevin De Bruyne to the Manchester City bench despite not getting any minutes.

The next game is the first of 2024 against Huddersfield in the FA Cup on the 7th of January at the Etihad Stadium.
