De Bruyne Returns For The First Time in 4 Months And Bags An Assist

The long awaited return of the Belgian superstar has come in a 5-0 win against Huddersfield in the FA Cup 3rd round.

He posted on X for his return and it got a huge 3.8 million views with this return being dreaded from rival fans but very exciting for City fans across the world.

De Bruyne came on as a substitute for the first time since their opening game of the season against Burnley, where city were already 3-0 up against Huddersfield.

He came on in the 57th minute which erupted the Etihad Stadium. It only took him 17 minutes to register his first assist of the season giving promise to fans that this injury hasn’t harmed his output that everyone is so used to seeing.

Another return to the lineup was Jeremy Doku who was on the receiving end of the De Bruyne pass to get him a goal on his return.

This brings huge hopes to the city fans as two of their most dangerous attacking players are back from injury. All that is left is for Haaland to return back from injury and the City squad will be fully fit to retain their titles across all 3 competitions once again this year.

They are set to play Newcastle on the 13th of January at St James Park with De Bruyne back to fitness he is assumed to regain his place in the starting 11.
