Manchester United Goalkeeper Onana Dropped To Bench For French 3rd Division Ondoa For Cameroon

After a somewhat underwhelming start to his Manchester United career, Andre Onana flew out to represent his country, Cameroon, in AFCON where he should’ve been the unquestionable first name on the team sheet.

Unfortunately his performance during his time in the Premier League has seemed to sway the decision of Rigobert Song, the current Cameroon Manager.

Despite not having a part in the starting lineup he was very energetic from the sideline supporting his national side. They went on to win the game 3-2 against Gambia with a last minute winner to set them second in the group going into the fourth game of AFCON.

The player that did replace Onana in the starting lineup is Fabrice Odana who currently plays for the French National League side Nimes who are sitting 15th in the league.

Fans online are now saying that the 3rd division goalkeeper is better than the man who came inches away from winning the Champions League just 6 months ago. Onana’s career has been seemingly tarnished by his time at Manchester United with getting dropped from the national team and then fans calling for Onana out of United despite his success in previous years.

There have been no comments on which goal keeper will start against Nigeria on the 27th but the rumour is that Odana will start ahead of the Manchester United player.
