Kalvin Phillips Set For West Ham Loan

After signing for £45 million in July 2022, the English holding midfielder couldn’t seem to get a foot in edgewise ahead of Rodri in Pep Guardiolas Manchester City.

With the unlikely event of getting a starting role in the treble winning side, it has been announced by Fabrizio Romano on his X account that he has agreed a loan deal to join West Ham for the remainder of the 2023/24 season.

After nearly 2 years at the club he has only earned 31 appearances for the quintuple winners and getting one goal through a penalty in the champions league this year.

Despite not getting many appearances for the club he still remains in Gareth Southgate’s plans for England and he will leave Manchester City on loan with 5 trophies in his career which is something legends of the premier league like Harry Kane don’t have.

The expected thought process of bringing him into West Ham is to become a Declan Rice replacement as they are very similar players when they play alongside each other for the national team.

A clip from West Ham’s Michael Antonio seemingly confirms Romanos report of Phillips signing a loan deal to join the Hammers for the remainder of the 2023/24 Premier League season hoping that his addition can bring them into a Europe spot for next year.
