Nathan Ake Breaks 8 YEAR Deadlock At Tottenham in 1-0 Victory

Manchester City defeat Tottenham Hotspur 1-0 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium breaking a long lasting record that has been held above Guardiola’s head of not scoring away to Spurs.

It took 88 minutes to break the deadlock with a poor clearance from Vicario leading to Nathan Ake to poke it into the back of the net to win them the game with only minutes to go.

It offically took 102 shots at the home goalkeeper to finally get a goal. These shots come from past and present Manchester City players such as Sergio Aguero, Erling Haaland, Leroy Sane and Kevin De Bruyne. Players that have had so much scoring success across the world and within the Premier League but suffered to the ‘curse‘ of Tottenham at home.

It ended up being the Dutch centre back, Nathan Ake, to finally break it with an earlier goal disallowed from youngster Oscar Bobb.

He gained his first start in the FA Cup in this crucial knockout game and took it in his stride. It took him 4 minutes to put the ball into the back of the net. The goal did go to VAR however, and it was eventually disallowed from the VAR booth with the studs of his boots being in an offside position.

Speaking on VAR which has caused many troubles for Manchester City this season including the injury of John Stones and Ederson within the Premier League and many others that have harmed City’s chances of regaining the top spot in the Premier League.

Manchester City advance in the FA Cup into the quarter finals with this victory over Spurs.
